Understand the best time to post your content to improve your success on Instagram
To increase your Instagram following, you need to generate interesting and compelling content that your audience really demands. If you don’t post your content at the right time, however, then there is the chance that a large part of your audience will never see it.
How do you calculate the optimum time to post your content for your specific audience? The Instagram Algorithm is both a mystery and a frustration to many a marketer. There is still much we don’t understand on how Instagram and other social networks calculate which posts get preference over others.
One thing is clear. The more engagement you receive in the first instance after posting, the more likely Instagram will show your post to more of your followers.
Interesting content = higher engagement = more eyes on your post
The best chance of gaining immediate likes and comments is to post when you know your audience is online. One of the best ways to discover your ideal posting time is to test the timing of your posts to see which post time generates the highest level of audience engagement.
Regardless of what you may have heard or read, there is no single optimum time to post that fits every business. It totally depends on the audience of your brand and every brand’s audience is unique. To build a sizeable and engaged Instagram audience, you need to understand who your followers are. One of the best ways to get to know your audience and capture their attention is by knowing exactly when they use the app.
For example, if your audience is stay-at-home parents then their behaviour will be completely different to city commuters.
Instagram has taken the guesswork out of understanding when your follower is online, by incorporating this data into their analytics system.
